This is another of my childhood favorites about a lively family of little Jewish girls. The setting is early 1900s in New York City's Lower East Side. The Jewish rituals described throughout the story are educational. The girls are naughty sometimes, get sick, get lost, have fun and by the end of the story, they are no longer all-of-a-kind. There is some mild romance in the story.
