This is an interesting study the author conducted with mothers who have large families by current standards. She interviews various women about their experiences as a mother and why they're having children in a society that overall does not want large or even medium-sized families. I was intrigued that the book is not overtly religious but rather more of a social study. Spoiler: maybe women actually enjoy motherhood and feel fulfilled in it.
