Our family greatly enjoyed the audio version of Little Britches read by Cameron Beierle, an excellent narrator. The book is based on the life of the author, Ralph Moody and his fascinating adventures in the Wild West. We appreciated the emphasis on the father and son relationship and the things his father taught him. Unfortunately his father dies of tuberculosis by the end of the book.
There is some bad language from other characters in the story. Ralph knows his father doesn't want him to hear or use it. There is some violence--men shoot at each other in a battle over water rights. There are several incidents when people or animals get hurt.
