This is a sequel to Old Yeller. In this story, Travis and his little brother are captured by Indians. Savage Sam, son of Old Yeller, is part of their rescue. I would say this book is written on a slightly higher level than Old Yeller and I personally didn't care for Savage Sam's violence, but my son enjoyed the book as did my husband when he was young.
