This is the fourth book in the series about the little Appalachian Mountain boy, Beanie, and his dog Tough Enough. After Tough Enough sneaks along on the family trip to North Carolina, as told in Tough Enough's Trip, he finds a pony. Will Beanie get to add a pony to his menagerie of pets? This is a well-written, fun, family story that contains one or two swear words. Unfortunately, this book is out-of-print, as many of the Latrobe's books are.
