Patricia St. John

The setting for this story is the Swiss Mountains at the end of World War II. The author was said to write it because there was so much need for forgiveness in the world at that time.

An unfortunate incident between Annette and Lucien makes them very angry with one another. One thing leads to another and the grudges pile up. Annette says she will never forgive Lucien. She bides her time to get revenge on him, and she gets her chance.

The story resolves with the reconciliation of Annette and Lucien and Christ's peace for both of them.
