Captive in Iran: A Remarkable True Story of Hope and Triumph amid the Horror of Tehran's Brutal Evin Prison by Maryam Rostampour and Marziyah Amirizadeh is one of my favorite books about persecuted Christians; partly because it is fairly recent, partly because these two young ladies were so courageous before the authorities and even argued their case. They also ministered to their cellmates, no matter who they were or what crime they'd committed, so that everyone loved them and many became Christians. Harsh realities of prison life include some swear words and there is mention of lesbian activity, but it is not graphic.
