This recently published book--July 2019--is a brave and powerful testimony of truth in a politically skewed environment. A fascinating account of a gay man's chance encounter with a Christian. I was intrigued by how he seemed irresistibly drawn to conversion and by how yielding to Christ brought immediate clarity to his homosexual position. He uses a lot of scripture and spends time explaining the biblical position on homosexuality. Much of what he says applies to sin in general. He includes information on how to respond and relate to a family member or friend who claims a homosexual orientation. This book would be helpful for someone struggling with same-sex attraction, but seems especially beneficial for helping straight Christians understand and relate redemptively with homosexuals.
Cook honestly relates some youthful experiences he feels had an impact on his choices in life, but he gives no explicit details from his adult lifestyle as a homosexual.
