This book offers a rare and intimate look into the lives of oppressed women in Afghanistan, gained through the author's work in humanitarian aid. I enjoyed the many conversations in which she simply and lovingly shares the truth of Jesus with women, and sometimes men, who have been thoroughly prejudiced against Christianity. This is an excellent way to gain a better understanding of the Muslim belief system. Books like this are a rich opportunity to experience other cultures in the world vicariously.
