This fairly recent biography is a straightforward, unembellished, true account. A young doctor and his wife spent the early years of their marriage serving God in a dangerous part of the world. The author relates the hardships, risks, and diseases in such a low-key way that you almost miss the full import of what they must have faced. At all times, he had great confidence in God's leading. I was most impressed with his attitude every time something went wrong or his plans were thwarted. He was always sure that God must have a reason for delaying or changing his plans. The book mentions speaking in tongues in passing a couple times.
