I thought this would be about marriage but it's about much more than that: God's grace, the brokeness of sin and personal healing. The mariage part is two people working through their mess together. This book is for everyone because, to quote the book, "Everyone marries the wrong person." We all have impossible marriages.
The husband and wife alternately share from their personal journeys through a wrong perception of sex. Laurie shares about how she worked through trauma memories, dissociation and same-sex attraction. Matt shares how he learned to stop idolizing sex and went from pornography use to a season of victorious abstinence.
I am not saying whether I would promote every counseling method mentioned in this book but there is a lot of truth here. This could be helpful for any marriage, and even single people as well. Kudos to this couple for being so vulnerable about their journey.
