The Waldensians were a small, pre-reformation group of believers in France who separated from the mainstream Catholic church and tried to live in simple obedience to the Bible. In this story, a Waldensian girl is orphaned and sent to live with her well-to-do relatives. The relatives have a low opinion of her parents and their beliefs but Paula's child-like faith slowly wins them over. I really enjoyed this old story as a child.
