I enjoyed rediscovering this classic with my five-year-old daughter. It's got some fatal literary flaws: villains that are too bad--or in this case, too grouchy--and it's heavy on the drama, but Pollyanna manages to remain endearing. She wins everyone over with her persistent 'glad game'.
