Kate Moore

This is a true and truly terrifying piece of American history. Young women were literally--and excruciatingly--sacrificed for the success of a big corporation. The author put an incredible amount of research into this account. She quotes from diaries and letters and inserts human interest details. At times, the attention to detail felt almost tedious, but my desire to see what happened next kept me reading. If you like historical non-fiction, you may enjoy this book.
